How to stop the spread of COVID-19
Read about the measurements the Drupaljam re:Boot team has taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19
Moving Drupaljam from an on-site event to an online event is perhaps the biggest change we had to overcome. The volunteers that organise this event had to re-invent the entire concept of the event without turning it into a Netflix marathon.
This means there is no need to travel to a venue and close contact to other attendees can be prevented. With over 500 people attending previous editions of Drupaljam this is the only way we can organise this event in a responsible way.
Not only attendees will be visiting Drupaljam re:Boot remotely, also our beloved speakers will present from their home or office location.
Hosted in Rotterdam
The Drupaljam re:Boot staff will be hosting the event from a studio in Rotterdam. The studio is a large hall suitable for over 500 people where a maximum of 10 people will be present to make sure everything runs smoothly. On-site the following regulations are in place:
- We are only on-site if we have no COVID-19 related symptoms
- We keep our distance (1,5 meters) to each other
- We do not shake hands
- We wear face masks when not behind the camera
- We use hand sanitiser to disinfect our hands
- We bring our own lunch
- We use our own devices
What you can do
Attending Drupaljam re:Boot from your home is probably the most comfortable and safe option. If you plan on attending Drupaljam together with friends or colleagues, please make sure you follow the rules and regulations of your local authority.
