Edo Plantinga works as a freelance project manager for the digital government. He likes to work on projects where social impact, UX, digital and collaboration meet. He was one of the founders of the Gebruiker Centraal community (for a user friendly government), the NL Design system and the DrupalOverheid network. Currently he works as community manager of the Dutch CoronaMelder app.

The CoronaMelder app warns you if you have been close to somebody that is later diagnosed with corona, preventing you from contaminating the people around you. For the government, the app was groundbreaking in the way it was developed: open source and in near complete transparency. What did we learn? And what will the impact be on the use of open source in government? What will this mean for communities like the Drupal community?
